Compostion : Dervish
« Snoring Biddy », ou « Brigitte la Ronfleuse » (« Biddy » étant un surnom pour « Bridget »), est une chanson traditionnelle irlandaise reprise récemment par le groupe irlandais Dervish sur leur album The Thrush in the Storm (2013). La chanson date à peu près de 1880, et a surement été modifié au fil du temps. La signification des paroles est à la fois humoristique et sinistre, racontant l’histoire d’un homme qui n’a plus le choix que d’assassiner sa femme quand il découvre qu’elle dort tout le temps (et n’assure donc pas son travail à la ferme). Dans la version de Keltas, nous commençons avec un accompagnement sur la guitare, bouzouki, et violon, qui incorpore finalement le bodhran et la basse. L’ensemble des instruments monte en volume et en intensité à la fin du morceau, avec un changement dans la grille de la guitare, marquant le meurtre de Brigitte la ronfleuse.
