Alors que la chanson « The Queen of
Argyll » peut sembler ancienne vu le
style et contenu du texte, il s’agit en fait
d’un morceau contemporain, écrit par
Andy M. Stewart, chanteur et
compositeur connu du groupe écossais
Silly Wizard, dans les années 80.
(Argyll, aussi appelé « Argyle », est une
région à l’ouest de l’Ecosse avec des
origines très anciennes.) C'est pour sa
mélodie envoutante que nous avons
choisi d’ajouter cette chanson à notre
répertoire, avec de nouveaux éléments
(ayant incorporé le violon et la basse,
une composition instrumentale
originale pour le chorus, et de
nouveaux contrechants).
